Nimbin

Today I drove to Nimbin to spend a day with my sister in law and her daughter, Alenya and Gaia. I stopped at a little town called Ulmarra which is on the Clarence River. A cute little town with an op shop and some other arty shops, with a nice backdrop of the Clarence River.

A bit further along a massive bridge over the Clarence River is being built, it is amazing to see how hig and how it goes for miles. It dwarfs the original bridge and kinda goes high over the town. It looks amazing, but not sure I’d be happy if i lived under it in the town. Photos don’t really show the scale of it.

I should have bought petrol when i had the opportunity, but instead i spent the next 80 km watching the ‘dte’ tick down. Lucky I found petrol with 30 km left.! I was a bit scared though..

Drove through Lismore, stopping to buy a few groceries and then to Nimbin. Its always good to catch up with Alenya and Gaia, and Elijah who lives next door came round to say hello too. It was a funny night.

We spent the next day (Monday) hanging out, playing table tennis, went for a walk, went to have a look where Alenya works at the kinda, it was actually quite warm so we went for a dip in the creek at the back of her place. That was nice! I left in the afternoon to go to see Ben at his new place in Byron Bay. He’s got Tuesday off, so we’re hanging out together! He lives about an hour away from Nimbin, through rainforest and narrow winding hills. His place is not in my Tom Tom so I had a bit of difficulty finding it in the dark. Its a nice little place tucked away in the rainforest. Pleasantly clean too!Lots of wildlife, geckos spiders canetoads bush turkeys mosquitos..

Difficult to post this as the internet connection isn’t so good…
