Nambucca Heads

I did about 450 kms yesterday to get to Nambucca Heads, this little town full of hills and lakes. and where no roads is straight! but has THE most (yep, sorry Brett, THE most) amazing views! I know I said that before at Lake White….but this is amazing too. Captain Cooks Lookout!….. Here it is……….. one side is of the beach

Then headland

Then on the other side of that headland

And then further round, all these lakes and sandbars, this was the most spectacular, but I don’t think the photo really shows it.

Also, a little further round, but where you can’t see, there is an Island which is the local golf course!

I’m staying at the Nambucca Caravan & Tourist Park, it’s on the banks of some river, but I’m not sure thats anything to recommend it for. The guy who checked me in couldn’t be more helpful and he went to great trouble to get me a good spot. Nice and flat & grassy and next to the amenities, which may be old, but very clean. There are mainly pernament residents here, but they are all very friendly, I was even invited to their daily game of darts!

Funny story Ben told me yesterday. His housemate has 2 pet rats in a cage and there is also a snake living under the verandah, a python….You can probably see where this is heading, but Ben went outside to find the snake curled up in the bottom of the rat cage with a large bulge in its belly. They now only have one rat!. There’s always something happening in Bens life!
