Today, or Saturday, was Party Day! The theme, mocktails! It was 14 degrees and cold, luckily the rain stayed away for most of the day. Last night there had been a big thunderstorm. (Lucky i wasn’t camping, hey!!) Because it was mocktails we decided we should dress up, so Angela, your dress came in very handy. We decorated the house and blew up hundreds of balloons, or it felt like 100’s.

She had a very well stocked bar! Fiona’s mum, Audrey, came too, so i got to meet her. That was good, after so many years hearing about her family, to put a face to the name is terrific! There was chaos for 2 hours and then it was over! We spend the rest of the day debriefing, recovering and cleaning as you do when you’ve had that many kids tearing through the house! Maya spent the rest of the afternoon making slime, which seemed to be a theme.
In the evening Steve & Fiona took the opportunity to spend some time celebrating their own 13 year anniversary while i babysat. Jasmine spent the night answering me only in meows while she insisted she was a cat, while Maya kept telling me she needed me to sit next to her while she went to sleep. Raynor, as usual, was no trouble, just very quietly went to sleep.
Fun day, good to spend time just hanging around these guys!
